Born November 12th 2014, Savannah joined us at our kennel in the spring of 2018, from her previous home in Quebec, Canada. She has tons of personality, and is full of energy and attitude – at nearly 6 years old, she still treats every day as if she were a puppy. On the topic of puppies, Savannah is also mother to our newest litter with Mojo born 11/21/2019, which includes Keb and Evie. As a new mom, Savannah definitely longed to take her place back in the yard as the resident “party girl”, and was less than thrilled with her motherly duties. In their adulthood however, she loves to play with her kids, and show them affection as well. When in the yard for playtime or otherwise, she is one to watch closely as she is very crafty and has a reputation as a talented escape artist, even moreso than your average husky. At her previous kennel, she had tons of free space and so she’s learned to value freedom. It also gave her free reign of her prey drive, which our “Warden” Norfolk Terrier, Sugar, has unfortunately been on the receiving end of. Savannah is famous for her "back hugs", maybe more accurately described as "surprise affectionate body slams". With all her energy and smarts, it’s no surprise that Savannah is a great sled dog and a very hard worker – she is right at home in harness, and loves to give it her all out on the trail.
