October's Petra

Petra rejoined October Siberians in 2023, having been born here and spending her first several years at a recreational mushing home with brother Huck. Petra is a lot like her mother Maeva and she and her sisters all carry some of the "I mean business" energy in their mom's temperament. Though she can be serious with her peers, Petra takes defending the small and young as an important job - puppies and yearlings are her charge and even though she keeps them in line, she will stand up to anyone who dares push the little ones around.

Since returning to us, Petra is a welcome member of the team. She has stepped into a backup or low-stress leader role at times, but she is best and most consistent in team or point. Since she is very no-nonsense we will often put young or unfocused dogs alongside her, where she will insist they stay on task.
