October's Diamond Dog Bowie

Bowie is one of the Sonny x Maeva pups, born in 2017 to a 9 puppy litter. His voice, much like his sire Sonny is an unapolagetic, high pitched yap that often finds its way right next to your ear when he leaps up to greet you at the face. We call him a "jumper", but with the air he gets "Leaper" may be more accurate as a title.

On the team, Bowie has become one of our regular leaders in the last few seasons, often paired with one of the younger trainees or one of his siblings. He has not quite mastered "line-out", the command used to keep the gangline tight and fully extended when hooking up or stopped, but he has learned his commands well and keeps things moving up front. When not trekking forward in harness Bowie takes his rest very seriously and will dive into snow to cool down. Between runs he is often found "meditating" with his eyes closed and paws crossed.
