Dog Sled Tours and Rides Our 2-hour tours set in Little River State Park in Waterbury (conveniently located near Stowe, Bolton and Sugarbush resorts) are offered as a unique mix of scenery, history and adventure. 20-minute rides are available in the evening at the Stoweflake Resorts. *Sled Dog Tours in Little River State Park, Waterbury, VT* Many people have visited Vermont State Parks in the summer, but find they have a completely different feel to them in the winter. On this tour, you'll visit Rob's favorite trail system located in the Southeast portion of the Mount Mansfield State Forest, along the Waterbury Reservoir and through a former homestead community last occupied 100 years ago. You'll experience mild to steep climbs and the thrill of the downhill, but rest assured Rob maintains full control of the pace of the team and the speed of the sled throughout this stunning landscape. You'll drive past many rock walls, old foundations, cemeteries, orchards and beautiful vistas. Encounters with wildlife such as deer, moose, fox and ground birds are common. A portion of the tour is spent within the campground loop system so that passengers can take turns photographing each other driving the team, and also to photograph the dogs head-on (not just from the sled view) Choose to tour during a sparkling winter day, or under the stars. *Stowe Dog Sled Rides at the Stoweflake Resort* We offer 20-minute dog sled rides under the stars at Stoweflake Resort in Stowe, Vermont. This is an affordable way for your whole family to enjoy our incredible dogs and experience the sport of mushing. Conveniently located near the center of Stowe Village, our evening dog rides are the perfect way to end a day of skiing, and also fit nicely into precious vacation time. Night Tours The white canvas of the snow, a bit of moon and starlight, the quiet of the forest creates a setting that will change your life. We, as a population, are so far removed from the woods at night that fear and the imagination can take over. You'll find that these tours are peaceful, challenge your other senses, and help you to learn to trust the dogs. You can rest assured that our Night Tours are safe. We wear reflective clothing, headlamps and flashing red lights to use as needed, and for safety. You'll also find that the dogs have re-energized as nocturnal animals do. After a day full of activities, you have a whole new adventure to complete your day.
